This is a survey ten people filled out to show their opinions of what most affects life choices. Overall, most picked "values" while most others picked "family." The people in your life, especially family have a significant impact on what you choose in day-to-day, and often they are what one considers first and most important when making big decisions as it can turn your loved ones in to your biggest critic or as collateral.

Most who picked "values" simply stated that values encompasses all the other options, but there were a few who stood out. Some felt that life goals affect a person's outlook on life, how they navigate it, and the obstacles and/or tools around them. One's values turns into goals or lack of and life choices cannot happen without first having and understanding a goal.
