FDR - Hitler

    In WWII, Hitler and FDR were obviously on opposing sides, so you'd be surprised to find so many similarities between the two leaders. They were both Statists. Both Hitler and FDR created public works programs. FDR created the PWA, interfering with the self-correcting economical circumstance of the end of the Great Depression. Hitler built hospitals, schools, and public buildings including an Olympic stadium. 

    Roosevelt and Hitler both manipulated currency. FDR replaced the gold-backed dollar with new managed currency, devaluing the dollar. During the Weimar Republic and the Nazi era, German currency experienced hyper-inflation.

     Franklin D. Roosevelt and Adolf Hitler both manipulated the constitution of their respective countries. The twenty second amendment was a reaction to FDR’s four terms as president. The Nazi party dismantled the Weimar Republic constitution through a series of laws.
