The Catholic Reformation - Philip II (1550s Europe)
Unlike the Protestant Reformation, the Catholic Reformation actually fit the definition of a Reformation. In your opinion, what was the best thing the church did to get back to the original ideals of the Catholic faith?
Pope Paul IV had the view that the Pope should rule over the king. How was this traditionally incorrect? How and why could this have been detrimental to the church?
