As I prepare to write a post concerning Western civilization, I stop to ask myself a few questions, find your personal answers if you wish, this will likely come up in my next or previous post and might interest you further.


Russia: Peter the Great - The Scientific Revolution

(Russia & Europe through the 17th century)

  • Peter the Great and his father ruled in opposing ways, why? Did they have anything in common?

  • Why is shadow and color so important to convey certain things in art? Why did it take so long to discover, or perhaps look for these techniques?

  • How can approaching something with induction cause a different result than with deduction? Why did this become more relevant during the time of the scientific revolution?

  • What is the correlation between science and religion throughout history?
