     As I prepare to write a post concerning American history & culture, I stop to ask myself a few questions, find your personal answers if you wish, this will likely come up in my next or previous post and might interest you further.

Colonial Background - Maryland & the Carolinas (Differing Colonial Cultures 17th Century)

• What was the difference between what Spain & England chose to do with North America in the 17th century?

  
  

• How were northern and southern cultures different n the British colonies of America? Was either more sophisticated?

  
  

• Ho much should tradition affect lives? Celtic culture in the Americas was violent & less sophisticated, but it was also merry and down to earth. Should we carry on traditions from cultures like these?

  
  

• How did culture naturally affect slave life in the Carolinas? Which of the two cultures are we most similar to today?
